Friends, is your heart troubled by the ongoing disobedience, the rising arrogance, or the sudden behavioral changes in your children as they step into their teenage years? These seasons can feel overwhelming. I was walking through the similar experience lately. As I was continually praying, and seeking the Lord, asking Him to transform my child’s heart and renew his mind, I sensed the the Lord leading me to declare some of His promises over him that I wanted to share with you all in this post .
Jeremiah 23:29 says , the Word of God is a fire and a hammer . It is able to smash the hardest of hearts and demolish every spiritual strongholds.
His Word is a fire that purifies heart and burns away every sinful and corrupt practices.
Above all the efforts we make to help and support our teenagers who are trying to navigate the many changes taking place within their bodies and minds during this season, let us remain diligent in declaring God’s promises over their lives.
Our children are not defined by their changing behaviors or passing moments; they are defined by the unchanging truth of who God says they are. Even when their actions seem contrary, we hold fast to His Word, trusting that their identity is rooted in His promises, not in temporary struggles.
Here are a few Scripture promises the Lord has placed on my heart for my son in this season. I pray they will be a blessing and encouragement to you as well.
- My teenager ——shall be taught by the Lord and great shall be his peace – Isaiah 54:13
