We all walk through seasons of challenges and heartbreaks during our lifetime, be it physical, emotional or financial. Having walked through a few challenging seasons myself, I know how unfair and hard life feels at times. However, with Jesus, the lover of my soul by my side, my story of struggles and pain have always ended in victory, joy and comfort to many (2 Cor :2-3). I hope and pray this post will  bring much needed hope and healing to your soul as I share my testimonies and revelations God has given to me about how much He loves us and desires to deliver us from our hurt and pain.

Jesus said, “In this world you will have tribulations, but be of good cheer,I have overcome the world”(John 16:33).

The very reason why we can trust that God loves us fiercely is because He demonstrated it by coming down from heaven to earth. He traded the pleasures of heaven for the suffering of the cross, carrying all our sins and curses upon Himself. I love how prophet Isaiah describes this sacrificial love of  our God and savior in Isaiah 53:3-5.

“He was despised and rejected by mankind,a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces, he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God,stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions,he was crushed for our iniquities;the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”

Yes my friend, Jesus is familiar with all the sorrows and sufferings we may be walking through today.

  God sees your hurting heart

I vividly remember that morning a few years ago, when I was feeling utterly condemned and rejected. As I sat on a chair with a heavy heart and opened my Bible, hoping to receive some comfort from the Lord, I randomly happened to turn to the book of Romans chapter 8, which begins with the very Words I needed at that moment, Verse 1 of Romans 8 says,  there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Verse 31 says, What then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Verse 34 says, Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one.

These precious promises of the Lord were a healing balm to my wounded soul at that moment.

Songs of Solomon chapter 4 verse 7 says, “You are beautiful to me my beloved,I see no flaw in you”.

This is another promise I was comforted with that day.

God sees you in your desert of hopelessness

In Genesis 16:1-10 and Gen 21:14-20 ,We read about Hagar, a slave of Sarai, who was in the desert crying in hopelessness as she was mistreated by her mistress Sarai to the point that she fled to the desert once and was kicked out of the house in the next instance along with her son Ishmael. God sees her cry of hopelessness and comes to rescue her both times in the desert. Moved by this amazing love of God upon her,  “She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.”Genesis 16:13

The very week I received the revelation from the Lord about His love for Hagar, I also heard a heartbreaking news of my goddaughter being mistreated by her husband and in-laws.  But, because of the revelation God had given to me about His amazing love and compassion upon Hagar, I was able to comfort and reassure her of God’s unchanging love and faithfulness upon her as well. I also prayed for her with confidence during those days. It gives me pleasure to share with you today that God in His faithfulness has rescued my beloved daughter in Christ from that miserable situation and is constantly restoring her physical, emotional and mental health.

God hears your cry of desperation

Psalmist says in Psalms 18:6, But in my distress I cried out to the LORD; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.

Yes my friend,  All we need to do is run to Him and cry. He is closer to you than you know.

Also Psalms 34:18 says, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

The story of  Hannah in 1 Samuel chapter 1 is another remarkable example of how God wipes our tears of desperation. Hannah had no children. Because of this, she was constantly despised and provoked by Peninah, her husband’s other wife. The provocation made by her rival made her feel so miserable at times that she couldn’t even eat her food .Verse 10 of 1 Samuel chapter 1 says, In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly. God answered Hannah’s cry and blessed her with Samuel, her firstborn, who  became the mighty prophet of God in Israel.

In my own life, everytime I have cried to God and sought Him desperately, He has come to my  rescue. He has amazed me by His Words of  love and comfort.  Run to God in tearful prayers, allow the Holy Spirit  to speak to you during your difficult moments by reading the scriptures and devotionals and listening to messages and podcasts, you’ll be surprised how God speaks exactly what you need to hear at that moment and comforts your soul. Once He speaks to you and reveals His plans and promises, your face will not be sad again. Jesus never ignores our  tears.

Psalms 56:8 says,You have taken account of my wanderings. put my tears in Your bottle—…”  Isn’t this encouraging?

God fulfills His plans and promises for our life in due time. We  need to receive His promises in our spirit and respond to it by declaring it and rejoicing in it like Hannah did. God sees your seeking heart

The story of Zaccheus, the tax collector in Luke 19:1-8, is one of my favorite stories in the New Testament. Zaccheus longed  to see Jesus  when he heard Jesus was coming his way. However, due to his short stature he wasn’t able to see Him over the crowd. So he  runs ahead of the crowd and  climbs a sycamore-fig tree to see Jesus.

Jesus sees Zaccheus’ seeking heart from afar, calls him down and says, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.”.  All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.” But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”( (Luke 19:1-9).

As soon as Jesus offered to come and stay at his house, Zaccheus began to repent of all his sins.  Friend,it is God’s job to convict us of our sin and cleanse us  once we  open our heart to Him.  Let no sin or shortcoming stop you from coming to Jesus. He loves you more than you can ever fathom.

Mathew 11:28 says,  “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest..

Beloved, who are you turning to for comfort and rest today? Run to Jesus, He is waiting for you with an outstretched arm to heal and restore you.(Luke 15:17-20).

Thank you very much for sharing the revelation that unwraps the truth of our God. “God Sees”. It is such a stunning, such a relieving truth of our Loving and caring God who sees us deliberately. He searches our hearts. He knows what in us. “for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7 NASB). When I was devouring through this blog, thoughts came into my heart, Our God sees, therefore, RUN TO GOD, HE WILL TURN TO US ALWAYS. Much love and blessings to you, bahini!

I resonate with the last part God sees your seeking heart. It gives me great assurance about my cousin in Nepal who is seeking right now with all his heart. He is looking for answers, which unfortunately we can’t get the answers to all our questions on this side of eternity, such as why do we have so much suffering on this earth or why is God not stopping the rape of innocent children, the murder of innocent people, cancer, divorce, trauma, etc. He says he will believe when he gets the answers to these questions. He is seeking, reading, researching, questioning right now.
But it is so assuring to know that our loving father sees my cousin and his seeking heart just like he did with Zaccheus and He will be saved one day just like Zaccheus.
To God be the glory …Great post. Thank you for pouring out your heart and blessing us with another timely post.
